Being old enough to have used a Gutenberg Printer I just bothers me that I have to stop using a 'Working Printer' just because software was updated. Unfortunately there is usually no list of deprecated features, so we need guinea pigs that will try to find out the hard way and wait for the first reports. Reason I bought a new iMac is because my last one after 7 years DIED(TOTE) Reason Video Card Kaput or something like that. I know there is NOTHING that Apple will do to solve this problem, except again say it is Cannon's Failure. I have found a few sites that offer divers or CUPS or whatever I need to get my printer working with the iMac, but I am leery to use a 3rd party software utility. Cannon's website says that due to costs of development, blah, blah, blah they can not keep up with updates for out of date devices? The printer is only 9 years old, Ok Maybe that is OLD? But, why should I toss a working printer into the 'Supposed' recycle bin just because of a software change? According to posts I have read Apple says it is a Cannon problem.

A 'Genius' at the Apple Store in Frankfurt said I need to buy a new printer? Funny, the printer works just fine connected to my Laptop running Windows of Course. Went to load up(or whatever 'Tech' term you want to use) my Cannon PIXMA MP630 Printer and found that is does not work. Took it out of the box started it up and All shiny and wonderful it worked(Sort of).
